Plan of Salvation
1. Hear the Word: "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17
2. Believe that Jesus is the son of God: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
3. Repent of your sins: "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you shall all likewise perish." - Luke 13:3
4. Confess that Jesus is the son of God: "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 10:32
5. Be Baptized for the remission of sins: "And Peter said unto them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'" - Acts 2:38
"For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ." - Galatians 3:27
"And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord." Acts 22:16
6. Live Faithfully: "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." - Romans 6:4
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." James 1:22
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Romans 6:1-2
Acts of Worship
Singing
"Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord," - Ephesians 5:19
We sing a Capella only, no musical instruments are used in worship. The Bible only speaks of singing and making melody in our hearts.
Lord's Supper
Christians partake of the Lord's Supper every first day of the week in remembrance of Jesus' broken body and shed blood because he died on the cross for our sins.
"Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight." - Acts 20:7
"And when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' In the same manner He also took the cup after supper saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." - I Corinthians 11:24-25
Giving
We are very blessed and are commanded to give back to the Church just as God has given to us.
"On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there may be no collections when I come." - 1 Corinthians 16:2
Praying
"Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." - James 5:16
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Teaching
"And he said unto them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." - Mark 16:15
"Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine." 1 Timothy 4:13
